You may find, as I soon did, that the front sight hood gets into your field of view. They went into my spares box on day one and never came back out.

What rings did you get?

This is my setup. 1-3x scope. I got QD rings either from MidwayUSA or Amazon...cannot remember. The front hood disappears on 3x setting.


the pouches are for Mosin Nagant stripper clips but the 7.62x39 CZ 527 magazines fit just fine.

No specific recommendation, but I will just add that I think 2-7 scopes are way under appreciated. When my AR was my only center fire rifle, that's what it wore as a jack-of-all trades optic and I really liked it.

Me... I'd probably do a 3-9X just because I've got old eyes but that's what I'd like on your carbine. You did good though. I like it! I also have a 527, but the varmint version. Absolutely love it. I did a 4.5-14X on it, with Warne rings:
