The elections are right around the corner (are you doing things differently because of it?)

I was just a year or so into reloading when the last panic hit. Thankfully I was able to have on hand enough and was able to add a little during that time.
Now I add when I have room to. I should have enough for the kids, wife, and I, when the next panic shows up.
I have not sped up any purchases because of anything political.

I could use a few more 22 lr shells and after this fall / winter reloading I will be putting together a powder order before the end of summer. I could get by with what I have but a little more powder would be nice, could be a long hard road depending on which one of the fine upstanding candidates makes it into office.

I have been and will continue to stock up on my reloading supplies and rimfire ammo.

I will be getting social security here shortly so when the checks start come in I will usevthe first three or so to get where I want to be.
Just picked up 5,000 large rifle primers yesterday.
I need to buy some molds and get stocked up on lead.

I have buckets & buckets of brass, the last cycle I did alot of trading. I got a few decent guns on trades for stuff I could part with.
I didn't sell.any of it, just did trades.

"No"
I just started reloading as we were exiting the last shortage. (Have heard there were others)
I've been ~acquiring components~ ever since.
Not sure when that will stop.
I already have a respectable amount of stuff. I'm blessed enough to be able to buy quantity "When on Super-Sale" so that's pretty much all I've been doing lately.
When I see stuff on Sale but still can't make up my mind if I really need it or not, sometimes all it takes is a quick check of my inventory.

Everyone has their own comfort level.

I am heavy on primers and powder already due to sales, I will start hitting the bullets now, my better half told me that I have to wait until next year, I bought enough this year!
That was in 2019, (two weeks ago)
It's 2020 now, new budget year! It will be bullets this year.
I'm always hurting for bullets compared to everything else so I will be tending to this. Right now I have about 5k of bullets and I need about 3 times that amount. Not because I shoot that much but because I love to be self sufficient and not have to deal with shortages.
It would be a perfect world for me if I could go to a store and buy what I need for a decent price any time I need to. But we don't live in a perfect world so, like most others here, I buy enough when prices are low to last me quite a while (years) so I can sit back and watch the side show when things go south.
Politically motivated? Well, maybe some, but mostly, it's just me.

I felt the same way so I took up casting. Some up front investment, but I will always have projectiles.

I live in a State where politicians seem to have common sense, and beginning in 2019 it is legal for a citizen 21 years of age or older and without a felony conviction to carry a loaded firearm. On the other hand, pot was legalized. It may be a good idea to stay home after dark!
I presume that young soldiers trained in firearms aren't happy with that age restriction.

A couple years after I got into reloading (thanks to a friend who introduced me to it), I setup an account to put a few bucks into from each paycheck automatically. That worked out quite well, as I've been able to take advantage of the occasional sale and slowly stock up on everything. During the shortages of a few years back, there was enough stock on hand to weather the lack of components, and shift towards calibers where components were available. Over time the account has accumulated enough to consider something like a new unloader. So I would recommend doing the separate account for anyone who can manage it. My wife knows about it, and doesn't give it a second thought.

Also, after 22 started showing up again, I've been buying a bulk box every couple of months - or two if they are on sale. I'll keep that up while they are plentiful. I'd prefer to not buy any when they are in short supply, and leave it for the next person who needs it.

Not really. I'm in the process of straightening up (a never ending process) and will inventory my components. If I'm short on anything I'll stock back up. Probably this month.

Nope, am not concerned w/ the Election's outcome, as it is almost a certainty. I buy my components when I get close to running out, and for no other reason.
