So i got the gun last week, shot about 200 rounds so far. Love really everything about the gun, the ergo's the balance and the trigger is really good overall- light(maybe 3.5#-4 pounds in SA) and smooth with a crisp break. I just find that the trigger has more travel than I would like, any tips on how to make the trigger pull shorter?

You need to change out the disconnector. Cajun Gun Works sells a T-5 short reset disconnector that will work in your shadow. I installed one in my SP-01 shadow about 6 months ago. The part was drop in and it reduced trigger take up to about 1/8" single action. There are tutorials on line taking apart cz pistols. Give Cajun a call. Here is the disconnector.

Here's a video that shows how short the single action pretravel can be. This is a shadow 2 but you will get the idea.

Thanks for the help that trigger looks amazing. tried to look for the part from Canadian suppliers only one carries it and its out of stock :( Canada sucks. Gun is still a pleasure to shoot as is though, do you think trigger will shorten as it breaks in though?

Jordan Louie, are you taking about travel in S/A after you've taken up the slack in the trigger, or are you talking about D/A? From the factory, most of the CZs (I'm not certain about the SP-01 Shadow) have a trigger/hammer interface that results in a "camming back" of the hammer before the trigger breaks. If that's what you're talking about, you may be able to eliminate about 95% of it with a CGW Race Hammer Kit. https://cajungunworks.com/product/race-hammer-kit/ Again, this is on the standard 75-based guns including the regular SP-01, but I'm not 100% certain the SP-01 Shadow -- not sure how much camming-back it exhibits with the factory parts. What you should definitely do is to call Cajun Gun Works, tell them what you would like to change, and they'll tell you how best to do it. I can't seem to own a CZ handgun without varying quantities of CGW parts in them. CGW parts transform excellent guns (the factory guns) into awesome guns. :)

Install a SA flat blade trigger with over travel and take up adjustment screws. While your in there, remove the FPB from the slide, and install the spacer in the sear cage, where the FPB lifter used to be. All the parts can be purchased at CGW, and turn your gun into a pre B or 85 Combat configuration, without the firing pin block system.
