that makes sense, I am trying to talk my uncle into selling me one of his spare progressive presses for small pistol rounds, so far it hasn't gone to well, but I hold hope for the future, lol
I see no need to use an additional abrasive to my media. I have found some different media to be used for different needs; for heavily tarnished brass or rusty tools/parts, I use Harbor Freight hard resin media. For "normal" brass tumbling I add mebbe 10-20% hard resin to corn cob blast media plus a tad of auto wax (mfg doesn't matter, but no rubbing compound). For the brass I want shiny (30-06 and 45 ACP) I use straight corn cob blast media (not pet poop catcher) with a bit of auto wax (I have even tried museum wax, carnauba wax, melted candle wax, furniture polish (Pledge) and maybe a couple more, most failed). I just wanted a bit of tarnish protection, no chemical or abrasive action wanted... https://www.harborfreight.com/520-lb-rust-cutting-resin-abrasive-tumbler-media-63672.html
