A lot of you know of my addiction to S&W 3” K Frames. In my opinion the best barrel length especially for SD use. Happened to come across this little jewel. Started life as a Model 65-3. Barrel was cut to 3” and recrowned along with having the barrel slab sided. A hi viz sight was milled into the barrel. Hammer semi-bobbed. DA was lightened up to around 7-8 lbs and was shortened or made a little quicker than factory. Gun was lightly bead blasted and a set of VZ Grips added. It shoots great and due to the nice action work, I have done a few self defense drills that surprised even me. Still not quite used to the different front sight on a fixed sight gun, but it’s coming around. Already looking into getting a twin built an a L Frame. 94AC62AE-4946-49B4-ADB8-5C25A5A1D125.jpeg B9E367EB-5E89-4EFF-88AC-380F0F423214.jpeg 58A663A2-7D23-457C-B480-1E7A307B1382.jpeg

That is sweet! Looks like the modifications were well done. I rarely see 3 inch revolvers for sale but I have managed to snag a 3 inch 686 and Model 60 Pro

Now that there is a very different take on a Model 65. But I really dig it! Nice score!

That’s a cool handgun you have there .

There is something about the 3” that does make it a nice carry length for sure.

My 3” revolvers are a Dan Wesson 15 VH, a 317 .22 LR J frame and a model 13 .357. :)

Stay safe.
