I was thinking of buying some 000 Buck pellets for use in a .38 and I'd prefer soft lead to hard lead. Hornady says their pellets are pure lead, so it should be soft, but they say the diameter is .350. Normally 000 is .360 in diameter.

Is this true or is this a typo? I need .360 pellets.

I would contact Hornady about this, but all I'm going to get is a CS rep reading from a book and echoing whatever I've already read on the Hornady website.

I buy the Hornady 000 buck for use in my .36 caliber muzzle loaders. The box is printed .350 diameter, and I checked with a micrometer and they are indeed .350.

Jeez, guess I shouldn't be surprised given this is the same company that's known for making brass that is shorter than average. Hornady must saving billions of dollars every year on raw materials giving shooters less than industry normal.

Thanks tho, I'll keep looking for other options.
