Handgun Range Day: Tried an RIA 1911

Two things about RIA 1911's: First, they aren't high-end guns and you won't confuse them for such. But you already knew that. Second, they are the best 1911 you will find at their price point. I have two and am a fan. One of them eats everything, including feeding empty cases. The other likes only hardball, Federal Hydra-Shok and WWB JHP. Chokes on other stuff I've tried. So I just run Federal in everything. Some folks don't care for MecGar magazines, but they work in all three brands of 1911 that I have.

My experience with RIA 1911s has been very positive. Both 9mm and .45 ball ammo is 100% reliable in mine as well as my 200 grain SWC reloads in the 45s.
