Oh, I know that. It's just so iconic western. I do like the Bisley so well paired.

I sold the 9.5" Single Six and used the money to pick up this 1994 Single Six Convertible with 4-5/8" barrel. It came with both cylinders and the box. Very nice shape.

I want to replace the grips and make a holster for it.

This OP got himself some new hardware today. 20200530_144849.jpg

I know it's a Blackhawk but I need a nickname for it because Blackhawk doesn't quite do it for me. The Carryhawk brings a certain image to mind, how about this one?
Btw... It's a 357.

Very nice. Congrats.

You don't know how tempted I am to do the same and sell my 9.5" for a 4.6".

Tell me about your experience between the two, and what you like most about either one, please. :)

How about "Thumper .45"? I'm guessing the .45 part as you did mention in a previous post that you were looking for a .45 Blackhawk in stainless.

I inquired about one in 45 at my lgs about a month ago and he said he would keep his eyes out for one. He had this one come in on Tuesday and he held it because he knows I stop in every few weeks. He knows what I like apparently.. :)

When I get my hands on one in 45 I might have "Thumper" put on the side of the barrel somehow.

The 9.5" was a novelty for me. I had a holster but the gun wasn't handy. Sitting in a truck wasn't comfortable.
The 4-5/8" barrel, adjustable sights and 22lr/22mag in excellent shape was a no brainer for me. This gun is handy. I will be done today with my holster I am making.

My newest, a Pietta 1860 Army. Destined for a bespoke 5-shot .44 Colt cartridge conversion, but as few visual changes as possible. I think the 1860 Army is one of the most elegant and beautiful firearms ever made.
