I have a 500 with the 18.5" barrel, it has a sling stud in the pistol grip, and in the front, the takedown bolt is threaded 10-32 for a swivel stud, 2.jpg but i was looking for something that would be free to rotate, -I'm sure when i go to screw in the basic stud, it will end up at a weird angle, or make the sling get tangled at some point.
I've seen a couple like this .jpg on ebay, but they are from china which i don't really want, and also it doesn't look like they will 'click' when you tighten the bolt, like the factory one does.
Who has a good sling set up solution

Slip a thin washer underneath to time it where you want it. IIRC, they often come with a plastic washer that will compress slightly to allow you to time the stud. The pictured accessory seems to have the detent ball, so it should click just fine.

I had a front magazine sling swivel set up on my 20" 500 during a run-n-gun class. This put the swivel close to the muzzle...really close. The sling got in front of the muzzle and I ended up shooting my sling in half.

I switched to a single point configuration...

I saw that happen at the range one time. My buddy did the same thing with his Remington 870. Went right through the sling and cut it in half.

I have two 20ga Moss500s. I thought the same thing about my slingstuds but I was able to crank both studs in and was able to get both guns studs completey lined up. Those theads took quite a bit of torque and neither the threads or the stock had any issues. Try the factory studs they work fine if you put a bit of muscle in to get them aligned unless you just really want a rotating stud. GL man
