Hi...
I have cut way back on magazine subscriptions over the last few years.
I am not get one now... Handloader. I have always bought it at the bookstore but it hasn't been available since #325.
I just ordered a subscription and bought issue #326 and #327 that never showed up in the local bookstores.

I will on occasion pick up an issue of Guns of the Old West...mostly for the articles and photos of leather gun belts.

I get my American Rifleman from the NRA and I have my iPhone that gives me access to this forum, the SASS forums and DuckDuckGo. That’s good enough for me these days.

handloader magazine is it for a long time. i used to subscribe to g&a about twenty years ago. don't remember why i stopped. probably because every gun test was great and nothing was wrong with the gun.

anyway, handloader has been consistent and informative.

luck,

murf

If I had to pick one of the many gun magazines I subscribe to, it would be Guns. If you're only interested in handguns, American Handgunner would be my choice; if only rifles, Rifle; if only shotguns, The Shooting Sportsman. Me, I like them all almost equally.

I used to get 6 or 7 magazines connected with firearms and some outdoor stuff. That's now down to "Backwoodsman" and "Muzzleloader" both of which are informative and fun. (Not gun related but I do subscribe to "Woodcarving Illustrated" and "Fly Tyer".) If I don't keep a magazine for future reference, I don't subscribe.

Apparently as I get older I get more persnickety.:D

Fur-Fish-Game and Handloader, I like rifleshooter as well...but they've seemed to go downhill lately. Guns & Ammo has never had a negative review on anything and everything they feature nowadays are $2,000 scopes $5,000 handguns and $5,000+ rifles. I quit them after being a loyal subscriber for decades.

I used to routinely pick up 3-4 different gun related magazines a month, depending on what caught my eye on the magazine racks at my local book store. I was mostly interested in information about new releases, tests, and occasional gun history articles.

These days there's so much of that information available online in forums, video channels, and blogs, that I just don't bother with printed magazines anymore.

American Rifleman as per the membership, Handloader since 1969, Rifle, Fur Fish and Game because I started Trapping in '62, Handgunner, Guns, Shooting Times, G & A, Field and Stream. Can't get enough info!

I used to get Rifle and Handloader magazine, electronic versions until this spring. They changed their electronic copies so you can view them on the websites but I can’t save it to my tablet and read it anywhere. I had to have Wi-Fi to read my magazines. Not very convenient on a commuter train without Wi-Fi.

I liked the magazines very much. They are aimed towards traditional shooters; not anything like AR15s or AKs are covered.

Absolutely Nothing.
Stopped taking Guns & Ammo 1987
Stopped taking Shooting Time's 1994.
Stopped taking Petersens Hunting 1988
For me the gun rags are all garbage today.
Wouldn't give a plug nickel for the so called writers of today.
