So in regards to our current situation I have a very good friend who happens to make custom Cabinets for a living and he was in between jobs for a few days so I had him whip this up for me! :D

The wood is Knotty Alder and the shelf’s are birch with Alder trim I told my wife she can stain it any shade she likes so long as I can still see the knots and the grain of the wood so nothing super dark

he said (We both could climb on it and dance a jig she won’t bat an eyelash) That :p I am very very happy about because I wanted it to be super sturdy!

thanks for reading

Very Nice - I keep all my factory ammo in my house in my gun room. With 93 flats of shotgun shells I take up a lot of space. All the reloaded stuff is in my reloading room in another building.

Nice!

Gonna be expensive to fill it these days....:(

I use those same steel shelves youve got to the side there. They are considerably overloaded, but Ive braced them up a bit. The REALLY heavy stuff sits on the floor. Someday Ill build a sturdier wood rack like yours.
I use Gorilla Racks, but I replaced their flimsy shelving wood (which they say can hold 1200#) with 3/4" plywood. Green ammo cans filled, bags of shot, boxes of bullets, all sit on the shelves with no issues at all. To prevent the sharp corners from embedding themselves in the new vinyl flooring, I places a piece of 5/8" left over plywood under each to act like a spread footing.

Thats a nice looking cabinet. Your friend is a real craftsman! I'm thinking about making some shelves in my storeroom out of concrete blocks and 2 X 8's for my ammo cans. I saw the idea on Snipers Hide.

That cabinet looks very classy, like quality furniture. The cabinet maker did a nice job. It should serve you well.

Nice cabinet! Careful there, you’ll probably exceed your floor loading spec :). Hey, I see PRIMERS in the picture!

I also use those wire racks you have but they’re definitely not as pretty as the wood ones. HomeDepot has a variety of them that can hold 1K#s per shelf, or so they say.

Very nice and I agree I'm a big fan of blonde stain to show off nice wood grain patterns and Knots and such myself :) . Pretty much all of my factory ammo I keep locked up in a nice kencraft cabinet in the bedroom and all my reloading components and loaded ammo in a Stack-On on tactical:) cabinet in the reloading room
