I started inventorying all my powdered and decided I needed a storage cabinet for it. I had it scattered throughout my house and shop. Did not realize that I had as much as I did. This is located in in my climate controlled shop. which doubles as my gunsmith/machine shop/handloading room. The shop is located 30 yrds from my house. The main shop is my dad's old wood working shop, which I rearranged, rewired so it would be usable. Build new benches with doors to keep those dirt dauber bee's out. Also has all of my mechanic tools/ refrigeration tools and welding gear.
Since fire codes require a minimum thickness of 1". So I made it out of the new 3/4" sanded plywood, 23/32" x 2. Took way more wood than I thought it ever wood, 3 1/2 4x8 sheets. The size is 36"x20"x80".
Behind the marker board doors ...
My printer
And UPS for my DRO on my End mill. This is the reason for the doors to keep the chips and fluids out.
Now for the powder storage. 130# + , 36" x 30" x 20"
All seams are over lapped. Doors recessed. Used std door hinges and recessed them so every thing end up flush with minimal gaps.
All I can say is it is heavy. I did a quick stain and urethane finish to make it easier to clean when it gets sprayed.
