Recently made a deal with a buddy who's decided to downsize. As part of the deal, I get all of his ammo that he doesn't have firearms for. He's never reloaded, but somehow came into possession of quite a bit of 10mm ammo. It's all in Ziploc bags, so we're both under the impression they're reloads. I don't have a use for it (or the 6.8spc or 400 Cor Bon). Not ruling out getting a 10mm at some point, but I'd never shoot someone else's reloads. And I'd never feel right, or legal for that matter, selling or trading this loaded ammo. Aside from my hammer type puller, is there a more efficient way to pull about 300 10mm bullets?

Think its going to be the hammer, don't think the collet style will get enough of a grip on the bullet to pull it out of the case. Forster and RCBS both have .400 collets but don't know what type of bullet profile you have or if they will get a big enough bite on the bullet to pull it. Frankford Arsenal has a press type puller for 50-60 bucks called a pile driver? Here is a youtube on the pile driver from Ultimate reloader youtube channel.

I had looked at the Hornady puller with collets. Not sure I wanna spend $50 to save $30 worth of brass. Thinking I may use the hammer and see if I can identify the bullets, weight, etc then decide if I even want to try to salvage any of it. Thanks for the input guys!

A old style pair of wire cutter works quite well if you don't have a puller.

If you don't have a 10mm why are you going to break these down at all what are you trying to salvage? If you are going to try to sell the brass that is a lot of work for a little bit of money and if you have to buy a puller to get it done you have already lost money on the deal.

A 1-1/4 inch PVC coupling and a pair of Linemans pliers. This will damage the bullets but they would go into my scrap lead bucket. The powder would go into my "deer club jar" and who knows about the brass.

Get yourself a 10mm Super Redhawk and push the bullets out.

In all seriousness though, check out the grip n pull device. I've used it to pull a bunch of misloaded bullets before. Regardless of what you choose, be prepared to spend a few hours at the bench.

Mostly because
1- I can't just throw them away for moral and safety reasons.
2- Someone somewhere is needing 10mm brass in these trying times
3- If I don't destroy the bullets, my dad can shoot them in his .40

If by sealed you mean the red stuff, I haven't dug to the bottom yet. All of them I've looked at do and they're all PMC brass so far too.

A collet puller should work.
PMC factory ammo has the red around primer.
When you pull them someone will be interested in the primed brass.
