Interestingly, the panic buying has not included magazines.
Give them time.
When millions of guns are sold, there's an immediate run on ammunition so new owners can shoot/try out the guns and buy extra for "home armory" stock and practice.
Then as they talk to other gun owners and people at the range and start browsing the web and watch Youtube videos of likes of Hickok45, they will start buying spare magazines, holsters and accessories.
And some of them may even get interested in shooting sports and buy match gear and start modifying their guns for accuracy, like replacing triggers.
Then when told by other match shooters that they need to start reloading to improve the accuracy of their groups, run on reloading components and equipment.
All those new gun owners don’t realize how most malfunctions are due to magazines. But since most of them probably aren’t really going to shoot much, I guess they won’t ever notice.
The younger generation of new gun owners are quite well informed and will quickly assimilate information. I have noticed these younger gun owners often will buy the higher end stuff as their lives have been that of Google, watching product review videos and reading Amazon reviews along with Yelp reviews for nourishment/snacks.
They will tend to follow crowd trends and focus on things that work reliably or buy the "best of best" or "best value".
And after checking out different gun forums, they will likely become THR members, just like us.
