Well 2 are obvious to me ...

I just bought a 10/22 last week.
It's a "Bill Hicks Distributor Exclusive"
It has a Maple stock (looks bleached).
I hadn't seen anything like it & got a decent deal.
Not spectacular, but not over priced AFAIK.

Choice 2 would be a Marlin Model 60 or any of the variants they made.
Just like the 10/22, there are a number of items available on the after-market circuit to fit & make yours unique.
(That's why I bought the 10/22)

Hmmm ... #3 a Henry lever action.
originally had a winchester here, but I changed my mind.
I have 2 Henrys (45 Colt & 327 fed Mag) & would like a third one

I typically change something on almost every gun I buy.
And I had a good friend who asked me why?
I said I like making them unique to me.
Then they never get mistaken for anyone else's.
And it just fits me & my personality!

If I could keep only one these three pretty Anschutz .22's, it would be the one one bottom because it's a favorite for silhouette competitions. . View attachment 940383 View attachment 940384
You have three of the prettiest Anschutz's, I believe I have seen. The wood on all three of them, is beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, are they older rifles and what models are they? The closest I have to an Anschutz is a one of the Weatherby Mkiii's, that came out a few years back, in 17 HMR. I wish I had got in in .22 Long Rifle now. I had back and neck surgery about a year ago and I can't shoot hard recoiling gun, anything, rifle or handgun, alot. I can shoot a round of two but I can't go out and shoot a box at one time. I have always had rumoured but didn't shoot them alot. I have fell in love with rimfires now because I can shoot them all I want to and not pay for it later. I just bought a Kimber of Oregon model 82. I ordered a set of Talley low Kimber rings and they came in the same day the rifle came in. I had a Loupold VX1 4x12 stuck back for something. It mounted up perfect in the low Talley rings, just enough room to get scope covers on. I plan to take it out this afternoon or tomorrow. It is a very nice setup. I plan to buy an Anschutz at somepoint. I may try to find an older one. The ones I am seeing are nothing like what you have. I am a sucker for pretty stocks. One like those are exactly what I would like to find. You are a Blessed Man to have three.

Only three? Darn, but I'll play anyway. Remington Mod.12, Remington 40X, and a highly modified 10/22. I have the model 12 already and also the 10/22 of which only the receiver is still Ruger. I doubt I'll ever acquire the 40X.

So, like it says, if you had to choose only three .22 rim-fire Rifles to own, what would they be and why?
I shoot for fun so I'm not worried about scopes and such. Minute of tin can accuracy is fine with me.

Three .22 rimfires to own? That's three more than I have now! I guess 3 x Ruger 10/22 rifles? I have so little use for or need of three .22 rifles that I can't even think of three I want.

I was scrolling through this thread to see if anyone would mention the Nylon 66. When I was a kid, I asked my parents for one, but they got me a tennis racquet instead. After that, I figured they were idiots, and I stopped talking to them. Is the Nylon 66 in the running with some of the really exceptional .22s mentioned in this thread? I know it's a collectable for some folks.

I'm not an expert in anything, least of all rifles. This is a sincere question. Thanks.

I won mine in the early '60s at a shooting booth at the county fair. For me, it is a fun gun that I use for plinking primarily, although it has been used on targets of opportunity. At one time, I used it when rabbit hunting as it was light and worked well in the weather and I was never worried about scuffing or other damage. I have no idea how many rounds that has gone through it but it still works well.

Today my .22 hunting is done with a Ruger 77/22 All Weather Boat Tail or a Ruger 77/22WRM All Weather Boat Tail. I also have six different models of Marlin 39s that get a pretty good workout. My wife loves the 39D but recently has been playing around with the Nylon 66 when plinking.

My three choices are pretty modest.
1. Savage B22 FVSR. I have one!
2. Ruger Stainless 10/22 Takedown. I have one!
3. Browning BL 22 Grade I. I had a Grade Two and it was too pretty to shoot. Sold it because I buy them to shoot and someone offered me more than I paid for it. A grade I is on the shortlist and the Micro Midas might do since I’m a small guy but I’d have to shoulder it to see how it fits first.

Top three .22 rimfire?..

10/22: lots of accessories and parts available. 12” barrel with a light suppressor
Pump Action: My Rossi is light and compact, eats anything. Great for kids.
CMR-30: Light, compact, .22wmr is adequate for kids or handicapped folks to use as home defense (if not ideal).

Easy! 10/22 birch, AR dedicated 22, and my Kimber of Oregon All America Match (Anschutz killer, eats em for breakfast )

Wow this is a tough one. My only 22lr rifle at the moment is my Anschutz 54 so that would have to be #1 on the list.

#2 probably a 10/22 takedown.

#3 Something tube fed that'd handle LR L and S shells. I like the idea of the gun holding them and not needing magazines that could get lost or damaged. Either a semi auto or pump. I haven't shot one of the Marlin 60s in 35+ years they don't really excite me much. I don't know about those Remington 552 and 752s but something like those would work if they're good. (They're pricey though and there doesn't seem to be much aftermarket wise for them.)

A Marlin 39 Golden Mountie. My Dad taught me to shoot with his.

A CZ 457 with .22 LR and .22 WMR barrels. Versatility is great :).

And I’m really liking my stainless 10-22 International.

Stay safe.

I have three, and they're vintage. A Marlin 80DL bolt gun from my grandfather, a Marlin 39a (1941) from my dad, and a Remington Nylon 10C which was the first firearm I shot.
