When I bought a place in town I started to run out of room for ammo. I'd forgotten that when I summered out at my ranch (where I shot 100 rounds of 9mm every morning while waiting for coffee) I had stashed 3 cases of South African 9mm in my shipping container.
Went in there to grab some tarps last week and underneath,... there they were!

Let's see; one case = 30 "battle packs" of 400 rounds,.. thats 36,000 rounds times $.75/rd on gun broker.com = $27K

Or should I just save it for s*its and giggles????

This could be even better than when I bought a "pile" of guns from a widow for $5K (a thousand more than her best offer) only to find that underneath the 20 odd boxes of ammo in a case was a like new HK 94 in a box!
(This was over 25 years ago, but I sent her another $500.)

Yeah,.. the nice thing about Alzheimer's is that you get to meet new people every day.

This morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas.
How it got into my pajamas I'll never know.

I have similar stories. On the other hand, my brother in law, who sometimes can’t remember to tie his shoes, can pretty much tell you how much he paid for every gun he owns. Also, where he bought it and when. And he has more than a few. I have asked him if he remembers what I paid for a gun, ( if he was present) and he can usually tell me.

Last time I moved I found 2 bricks of 22lr and 2x25 boxes of 12 gauge slugs in reused boxes of target loads! I bought the slugs in the normal boxes of 5 but cut the upcs to send in for a rebate and the slug boxes fell apart so I plunked the slugs in some empty target load boxes that I had laying around. No pumpkins were safe that fall!

About 2 months ago, I noticed a cardboard box in my closet. It was one of those that contains a case of copy paper. Good size box.
I opened the top and it was full of boxes of 9mm and .38 Special.
I don’t remember putting it there but it’s just me and the wife.

I've never misplaced a gun, but when I moved a few years ago, I found 10 boxes of 9mm I had somehow lost along the way. It was still in a shrink wrapped "brick" as it was shipped to me about 2012 or so. I can't figure out why or how it was put into a box with cords and cables for my stereo in it.

My sister bought me an ammo can for my birthday a few years ago, I’ve only been “doing Gun stuff” for about seven. Not long enough to lose things yet, I thought.

Yesterday I was getting ready to take her and her husband out for a trip and needed a can to carry ammo. When I hefted it to get it out of the closest it felt heavy.
As in, an entire case of pistol match rimfire ammunition, heavy!
:)

I fired a few boxes and they felt extremely light.
Perfect for the coming suppressor!
What luck!
I’ll have some quiet stuff to be quiet with!:D

Last week I discovered that I have two more 500 rd. bricks of 22LR than I thought I did. In an ammo can that I thought had something else in it. Then I recalled the old timers of my youth telling me; " You just wait until you get to be my age !!.......... You'll see what I mean! ".

Just yesterday I noticed a Gander Mountain bag under some stuff on my closet shelf.
In the bag were two Buck filet knives and an Eagle Claw aerator.
I went kinda crazy when Gander was going out of business here and bought a ton of stuff. Guess I forgot about some of it.
