What a find!!

Well I was at a persons house, cleaning out their barn today. The house is unoccupied and the barn has been abandoned for YEARS. Well after finding the tools, equipment, and other little kinck-knaks I saw a old and dusty box in the corner. I opened it up and found some pretty cool stuff. OLD paper shotgun shells of various gauges including 10, 28 and 16 gauge. I found two very old H&R shotgun receivers, a giant box FULL of .45 FMJ, A box of old KLEENBORE .32 ACP's, some 30-06 black tip armor peircing ammo, and a origional M-1 Carbine 15 rd clip with 3 WHOLE rounds of ammo in it!!!!!! I thought all of this was pretty cool and the best part was I GET TO KEEP IT ALL!!!!!

Is old ammo a collector's item like stamps? They seem to have the same consumable properties that would create the conditions for rarity. Hope you get to retire on that stuff.

Yes old paper and ESPECIALLY total brass shells for shotguns can bring in good money.

wow, those are some cool finds! Bet you were wishing you'd find an original Thompson Sub-Machine gun to go with all that .45

On closer inspection in the bottom of the .45 can there are a few other bullets, including .32 rimfire, .32 long colt, .32 short colt, a few old .22's, some .357 mags, .38 special shotshells and FMJ, and one bullet that I have no clue what it is. It looks just like a .22 LR but the rim (Yes, its rimfire too) is much larger than that of a .22's. The only markings on it is a diamond on the bottom. Anyone have a clue to what this is????

Check the rafters for that muzzle loader. One fellow told me that they cleaned the house and found a Gatling Gun.

It's always a good idea to look around when cleaning up/moving in. I know of a Drilling found in a basement, an M1911 (not A1) found in the back of a dresser, behind the drawers, and a single shot 20 found in a barn. All I've found in my house is some old tags from a Savage .22 .
