Let’s see... the iconic, classic, American cornerstone-S&W model 10 or a Tupperware plastic fantastic by the bedside....hummm. Easy choice for me! From the sock drawer to rock em sockem in seconds (and I know it’s going BANG) :)

I don't have a group picture. Here is a couple of pictures of the other two.

What grips are on the top revolver? They look like laminated wood. Very nice. And nice find on the HB model 10. I just got my mothers HB model 10 with factory nickle plating she used when on the Sheriffs Dept. My other model 10 is a 10-5 IIRC with 6" barrel.

Now do yourself a favor and try to find a model 15. Just a skinny barreled model 10 with adjustable sights. Best 38 Special ever built.

Mine was a surplus pistol marked CDC. Calif.Dept.of Corrections? I'd buy a second if there were any left under $300. Good shooter. Yours is in nice shape.!

Nice going Rock'n...Congrats on the new model 10! Can’t beat ‘em.

My first model 10 was issued to me when I began my LEO career 55 years ago in Feb 1965. I say “issued” but I had to pay for it…$48 new in the box…$400 in today’s money. It’s not pictured here because I’ve already passed it on to my son who just retired after 25 years on the same PD. Drew it many times but never had to fire it other than at the range.

I carried the issued blue tapered barrel model 10-5 for 17 years and retired it for a new stainless model 64 which along with my model 36 were my duty guns for another 13 years. I didn’t start acquiring others until after I retired 25 years ago when I started picking up one here and there and before I knew it I had a bunch. They are all good reliable guns, easy to shoot and maintain…just fun to own. Good for truck or home and, if it comes down to it, you can trade one for food if need be. One PD trade-in 3" is in my desk drawer right now.

Included in the group are a 5” 38 S&W Brit Service Revolver and a fairly rare 5” 1948 M&P in 32 Long caliber. The 6” is from 1904. The model 13 is basically just a model 10 in .357 magnum.
