So, who sells fast twist barrels for the TC Renegade and do they sell them for the left handed Renegade?

They don’t grow on trees unless you want a .50 caliber. Green Mountain makes those. I wanted .45 and 40 (and soon a .38) for the better wind bucking characteristics as well as somewhat less recoil. Launching a long, over 500 grain bullet over 80+ grains of powder is a memorable event and I’m in my 70’s with a lifetime of memories... didn’t really want that many more.
With respect to the .45’s and under, you can get them from the gun works up in Oregon, you can scrounge around for a used cartridge barrel, or Bobby Hoyt can reline your barrel. As far as I know, that’s about it. I have a .40 that Bobby did for me and it’s very good so far, made from a 28” Hawken barrel. I also have a 28” .458 1 in 20 that was originally a replacement barrel for a Winchester high wall. I had a t/c breech installed and it now rests in a T/C white Mountain carbine stock making a dandy 7.5# carbine. It shoots very well with 400 and 450 grain paper patched buffalo arms company bullets. Also I have used R.e.a.l. Bullets and No Excuses 385 grain bullets as well although they aren’t as accurate more well suited for distance work which is kind of the whole point of the exercise, at least for me.

Considering how much I dislike having purple shoulder, I may just stick with the original barrel. Mine is a 50 and I'd like to keep it that way, but a 500+ grain bullet over 80+ grains of holy black sounds like a recipe for being out of work due to a dislocated shoulder.
 
Your renegade is a little bit heavier so the .500 grain bullet might not be so bad. Especially with a sissy bag at the benchrest. I’m doing ok with my light-ish .45 and 70 grains of 3f under a 450 grain bullet and the 385 grain bullet is a fun plinking round with 60 grains of the holy black...
 
Y’all are scaring me now . I had rotator cuff surgery 4 years ago . How bad is it going to be on my shoulder shooting a .530 round ball with up top 100 grains of black powder . I shoot 3” buckshot ok and 100 grains of t7 with 295 bullet out of a inline .

Track of the Wolf sells some Green Mountain Drop In barrels for the TC Hawken including a 1 in 28" 15/16" for the right handed Hawken that's backorderable. --->>> https://www.trackofthewolf.com/list/Item.aspx/648/1
Call Track and see if they can make you one or order one, or contact GM to see what they offer.
A name was recently mentioned for TC parts, Mr. Cain of the former Cain's Outdoors.
All you'd need is a left hand TC Renegade breech plug and a barrel blank.
But it may be easier to buy a Lyman Investarms Great Plains Hunter.
I'm not sure if a GM drop in used to fit both models or not with some work.
But if a person really wanted to build one there's probably a way to do it.
I recall that Track was building complete drop in replacement barrels for the TC Seneca.
Buy an old LH Renegade barrel just for the breech plug if you can't find only the part for sale.
The drop in barrels cost $269, as much as a used Renegade in fair shape.

You'll be fine.
A .54 round ball only weighs 224 - 231 grains.

To be honest, I'd like to replace the barrel of my $30 left handed TC New Englander .50.
It has some pitting in the bore, toward the muzzle. When I got it, it had Pyrodex fouling in it.
I cleaned it and removed the rust in the barrel at the muzzle. That's when I uncovered the pitting.
As thick as the barrel is, I've thought about reaming it out to 20 gauge and just using it as a shotgun.

Not bad at all the .530 ball is roughly 230 grains and with 100 grains of shove behind it is very comfortable in the renegade or Hawken t/c... milder than your in-line I’d wager.

Bobby Hoyt can do that work and make a dandy shotgun or line it and ream it to whatever your heart desires!

Thank you for the information.
I don't remember the name of the old TC inline I also got for $30. It's got a wood stock and a Timney trigger.
It's also .50 caliber. I wouldn't mind getting something done with its barrel, too.
 
Hoyt would be your man for such work... those were good rifles. Thunder hawks and so on...
