Glock Magazine Release

I made an order from the Glock store and ordered a Glock brand extended release along with a couple of spare recoil assemblies and trigger return springs. So I'm fixed up right? Nope. Got an email and all that they had in stock were the recoil spring sets. The trigger springs and extended release are on backorder. Oh well. With 17 shots on hand who needs a reload right? So I will run with the release that came on the gun for a while.

I have the same 'problem' that you have and installing the OEM extended magazine release on my 17 resolved it quite well. I'd bet a week's pay that you will be equally well-served. Let us know when you have your answer, yeah?

Its probably partly my fault. I sort of use the side of my thumb to push the mag release instead of the center of my thumb and it makes my thumb sore. But thats what I have to do unless I shift the gun in my hand.

Stock magazine releases on my Glocks as well, with the exception being on the G43x/48, I changed them out for aluminum to run Shield Arms magazines.
I have a Glock 48 and was considering this BUT...I carry(or will when they are available), the ShieldArms 15R, metal magazine BUT..far more often, when I am shooting it and changing magazines, I'll be using the 5 OE mags I have. So..concerned about gooning up the mag release on the ShieldArms magazine..considering how often I put in or take out the metal magazine..I'll be keeping the OE mag release.

I usually buy my OEM Glock parts from Midwest Gun Works. They have good prices and fast shipping. And the big plus, you will know before you order if something is in stock or not.
