Glock 21 SF magazine problem

I have been noticing that the newer Glock 21 SF magazines are not dropping free of my Glock 21SF. I have three older mags that dont have this problem. I have noticed that the newer magazines have a small shelf above the magazine release notch (on the body of the mag). I dont know if this is the cause or not. I have three magazines that were purchased with in the last 4 months that will not drop free. I dont think the problem is with my mag release mechanism due to the older mags dropping free. Maybe Glock has put out a bad batch of mags.

Has any other Glock 21 SF owners encountered this problem ? Any hardcore Glock surgeons out there have a solution to this problem ?
