Sneakshot92, I would add a second shotgun for trap if I were you. That said you should be able to pass the 835 down to your grandkids.

The OPs clay shooting seems to be hand thrown clays, not regular skeet or trap. In that case a pump would do just fine, and I may add we do a " pumpgun Friday " at my club where six birds are thrown on report [ a SCs course ] that demands some pretty fast pumping. 410s have also caught on and a couple of Remington express 410s have been bought and some of the guys shoot skeet with them - no 25s yet but plenty of 23 or 24s.
Sharpdog, I think that Browning Superpose will go for a lot more than that when the bidding is over. A buddy just bought one in 12ga and paid 900, and thought he got a deal.

I have a 320 field that I bought as a beater hunting gun (swamps). The gun functions well for what I use it for. I don’t know how many rounds I’ve put through it but it’s always worked.

I've got about 1500 rounds through a Weatherby SA-08 shooting trap and it has been 100% reliable. That's since I bought it about 6 months ago.

If it isn't a salt wood gun, then that is a good price
