Picked this up years ago, don’t remember the country of origin. Anyone know where it was manufactured? And does it have a rep as good, bad, or just average surplus?
Those look like nice clean rounds there. I have had great luck with Surplus Yugo from the 70's on up. The 50's can be pretty sketchy. Right now I am working my way thru 900 rounds of 1954. So far so good.
The time when there were a collection of satellite countries which served as a buffer between the ussr and the rest of europe, which were under communist control, heavily influenced if not entirely controlled by moscow.

Edit: After reviewing some history, Yugoslavia was not part of the Warsaw Pact, but a communist federation separate from the Soviet Union beginning around 1948. In the 90s Serbia split from Yugoslavia and with Montenegro until 2006 when Serbia became independent.
