For Bergara fans this is good news. Many of us have asked if they plan to build a 17HMR. I just received an announcement that the new Bergara BMR (Bergara Micro Rimfire) will be available in .22, 17HMR and .22WMR. It looks very much like their BXR (which I have) but slimmer. Hence calling it a micro. It comes with steel or carbon barrel. BTW I have the BXR with carbon barrel. It is excellent. I'll be buying the BMR 17HMR when I can find one.

These are great times for rimfire shooters! I am very excited about this.
EDIT: I just watched the video and it looks good! I have tons of ammo in all rimfire calibers, so I am good to go. I am looking at a Tikka T1, but will hold off to take a better look at this rifle.

I’m a Bergara fan with several of their rifles. My rimfire rifles are all CZ and I’m very happy with them as well. Last thing I need is another rimfire. In spite of that, I look forward to fondling one.

It is for people with plenty of ammo like me (and hopefully you also). But for people who can’t even find ammo to feed the guns they already have (their own fault in most cases), they aren’t going to go drop several hundred dollars on a rifle they can’t shoot.
I totally dig the rifle. And I’d really like to see one in person. Don’t think it will replace my CZ. But that doesn’t me it can’t be a neighbor in the safe.
