PPQ M2... and small rifle primers?

Don't know about your PPQ M2 but I use them with my S&W 686 revolver simply because that is what I had. No problems with my revolver at all.

They should work. I use them with all my 9mm guns. That's including CZs with light hammer springs.

Is there a difference in physical dimensions? Do I recall the rifle ones being marginally higher?

Small rifle primers seem to be the same size as small pistol. Now from what I have heard large rifle primers are taller than large pistol primers. I have used at least a thousand of small rifle primers in 9mm handgun loads.

Assuming I can find small primers of any variety...

Is the stock spring in the PPQ M2 strong enough to ignite a small rifle primer?

Thanks!

Here is a good video on different primers used with testing data, very informative.

I have loaded them for; S&W M&P Shield EZ (internal hammer), 686, Sig, P225,226,229,365XL, Max Michele, CZ Shadow2, 75b Omega, Kimber 1911,All 9mm. Tested each load in each pistol over the course of a couple of months last fall . Not one failure to ignite in any gun. Go for it.
