Who owns a PPQ SC, or Who wants a PPS M2 in .45 ACP?

After over 30 years with CZ and Glocks.

And 3 years with Walthers.

The only thing I think about 365 that are firearms related are more
Walthers, and Ruger single actions.

I had a PPS, PPS M2, PPQ M2 .22 LR and a PPQ M2 9mm pistol before the
PPQ Sub-Compact came to the scene.

Not being overly impressed by the looks of the grip, that's kept me
from buying, at least until I can handle one in person.

Well, the summer months have flewn by and I am even less than
impressed by the unveiling of the Walther CCP M2.

That leaves me with the prospect of the PPQ SC, or waiting for the
rumored PPS M2 in .45 ACP.

Now that would be a cool gun, and a good companion to my PPQ .45
for like caliber, and PPS M2 9mm.

However, and this is a big IF, it does look like I will never see a PPQ SC
or any other Walthers in my area other than the PPQ M2 4 inch...
or the PPQ .45 pistols.

This leaves me with the dilema of being a PPQ CS LE version, or waiting for
the PPS M2 .45 to be announced?

I read articles and viewed videos of grip comparison concerning the
PPQ SC and a Glock 26 grip. I've had a G26 before and the addition
of the Pearce grip base made it a comfortable fit for me.

My old G33 had a short grip. but was comfortable to shoot.

Same for that drastic plastic G43 when it would run right.

I'm in no huge hurry to get a new Walther, especially until my two .45s
and 3 of my .357 Magnums sell.

So if you own a PPQ SC, what carry load and holster, please?

Also, what you you think about the rumored PPS .45 ACP?

Go, Boston!

I like how the 9mm PPS feels, but I do not like how tall it is. I think the excess height precludes some of the uses I would like to put it to. Given that, I think the .45 PPS is going to be bigger. So, I do not see an advantage over the S&W Shield 45. If Shield didn't exist, the .45 PPS would be just the ticket. My experience with Kahr was poor, and the shape of XD-S hurts my hands. But unfortunately for Walther, Shield does exist.

I would not want a PPS 45. The short magazine on the PPS M1/M2 in 9mm is already 6 rounds. The short M1 .40 magazine is 5 rounds. I doubt Walther would even bother making a 4 round .45 magazine that would be flush with the magazine well. If they kept it the same size at all. If I wanted a 45 that small (which I don't) I would probably go with a XD-S instead.

As far as the PPQSC is concerned, it looks like they made their own version of a Ruger SR9C.

Yeah, that's weird. Even XD-S has 5 in the smallest mag, and Shield has 6 (it's a semi-staggered magazine). Kahr has 5 in CM45, although their baseplate sticks out a bit -- I am just about able to get the pinkie on it. This is an area where the excessive height of the slide on PPS does it no favour.
