I would go Remington 700 SPS. Second would be Ruger GSR. Good ol American Steel. Nothing wrong with foreign made stuff. CZ's are a work of art. Tikka's are to die for. More 700's out there than those foreign rifles combined. Lets not short change the Americans. The 700 and Ruger GSR, are both excellent all around rifles.

You have so many good opinions there that you would put them all in a hat, and not loose with what you pull out.

Mohawk 600 carbine in 308. Was my dads. Many many whitetail deer with this rifle.
I would love to find one in 35 rem and ream the chamber to 358 win. The 350 mag is just too much cartridge for such a short barrel and light weight rifle. They are a good still hunting rifle.

Going back to your original post OP you need to buy a new Tikka T3x Lite Stainless.

As many others have said, a Model 70 Winchester featherweight. Have seen them operate well in tough conditions and the 3 position safety is not yet something that all other rifles have. Synthetic is serviceable even though wood is still more fun to have, imho. Get a cheap weaver or whatever decent brand static 6 power scope and it's all done.
