Norinco 1911A1 Compact

I don't know about the numbers, but it seems they came in the early 1980's and stopped in 1993, with the Chinese trade embargo. I found a couple on GunsInternational in the high $600 range.

I'd think $600 range in that nice condition. Just curious, is the slide and frame the same finish? Or is the frame blued and the slide phosphate/parkerized? Could you tell me the first couple digits of the serial? I'm asking because recently I got a full size Norinco and the slide and frame are phosphate; its in the 30 serial range. Am wondering if some of the early imports were like this before they started bluing the frames. Some years ago I went through several Norinco's, in the 40 and 50 serial range, and they all had blued frames and until I got the 30 serial one I didn't know they came any diff. I think the 30 range was back in '83-'84.
