hey guys i just got a new barrel in from IBI this week and having installed on my ruger precision rifle. 6.5 creedmoor. its a 26 inch barrel so 2 inches longer than my old one. i was using superformance powder and shooting 140grain bthp rounds but have been told that h4831se powder works great with thoughs barrels. anyone have load data or know anything about that powder?

I have some ladders loaded for 6.5 and 300wm in this powder, but haven't been able to test yet. I'll post my load data and chrono results as soon as I do.
My 6.5cm are loaded with Lapua 139gr Scenar.

H4831 is a great powder, but unfortunately not for you. I quote Lyman's 50th manual, Hornady's 10, and Speer's website. 4350 is about as slow as you can go.

Actually, when I was researching powders for the 6.5CM, some of the guys were loading H4831 with good results. I don't know the specifics, but if you have it, it's worth a try.

I also found some posts on the long range forums from guys who were using H4831sc in the 6.5 cm and 300wm, that's the reason I chose it to compare with RL17 and H1000.
