I've been on a bit of a wheel gun kick lately

Saw this lovely GP100 in 44 Special and just had to have it

Then this beautiful stainless Bisley, in 45 Colt with 5.5" barrel came up

That 44 is.a pretty good shooter, 7gr of Power Pistol and a 240 swc
The 45 i haven't had a chance to crack off yet

Should keep me busy and out of trouble

Hey thanks.
I was thinking about a King Cobra target, then I seen the Bisley in the display case at a local shop.... it was a bit easier on the wallet, I have lots of brass and lead, so a no brainer.....

Great acquisitions!!!
I love my 45 Colt Bisley. I bet you will as well.

I'm sure I will. I have a SBH in 44 Mag and a SRH in 454, and those will shoot Special and Colt, respectively, but the GP I've been using for a winter concealed carry. The 45, well it was just too damn pretty to leave sitting in that display case.
I did take the gauge pins to the chambers , and like most Rugers of that time, they're tight. My smallest is .448, the largest, .450. Reckon ill see how it shoots before I start monkeying around with reaming em.
Plenty of brass and lead in both calibers that I used for practice with the big boys made these 2 very easy decisions, considering the way components are these days......I got at least a couple yrs of shooting

Well done! My SA .45 Colt is an old model Vaquero, it shoots many loads well which makes it a lot of fun to use. That Bisley will be even more versatile with the adjustable sights .

If you ever decide to ditch the factory grip on the GP, the compact GP 100 grip pops right on. It has plenty of room for an average sized hand to hang on to, it’s soft so it helps with recoil and it looks worlds better than the older one. (I sent mine to a GB member who wanted it.)

I put fancy walnut burl panels in it from Chiggs.

I’ll echo what the guys above have said, you made two excellent choices for sure. :)

Stay safe.

Thanks again all. I've liked that 44 since I seen a popular guy whack away with one in a video. It looked like I could probably have a fun time with that. It also hides nicely under a carhart in a shoulder rig.
I was in the market for a Colt, but the Bisley caught my attention quick for being the right caliber, the right length, and stainless. Got more 45 stuff than I do 357/38.
Snows melting, so I may be able to try a few with it this weekend.
I've put over 300 thru the GP. It really digs that 240 swc /power pistol combo. Could blast the better part of the day away with that. Thats a fine piece there.

That 4 Ruger wheelers, 2 single, 2 doubles
I think I might have a hoarding issue in the making.......

Nah...you’re not even close.;)
I like both of your acquisitions. I have shot lots of Ruger single actions but have yet to ever try a Bisley. I have held them and examined them but never fired one

Thank God.......that means I'm good for at least another 20
