Lost lost ammo find

I found a 200 round box of Hornady American Gunner 155gr 308 that I'd forgot about. Somebody else owns it now for twice what I paid.

Going through my misc. brass bin yesterday and found a labeled baggie with 36 .44 Mag cases that I had prepped for reloading. I assume my wife threw them in there when we were moving a few years back.

No longer own the .44 so carefully deprimed the cases and now have 36 more CCI LPP.
Life is good.

I'm enjoying the thread; makes me smile. I did a full inventory of my ammo and reloading components a few months back; no pleasant surprises, more's the pity.

Im always finding things I hide from my wife. Mostly magazines. Found a few Glock hi cap under my dresser. No hidden ammo yet. Key word yet. Moving ina month or so. If its to be found itll be found during the move.

Last fall I took a full inventory (I thought) of the ammo I had on hand except for the single partial boxes in the small cabinet where the stuff in regular use gets dropped off. So about a week ago I am looking at the list and notice something is missing! I had forgotten all about a 500 rd case of .303 Brit I had tucked away. I guess I need to go out and shoot my SMLE!!:D

About 4 or 5 months ago I was sitting at my home computer and needed paper for the printer.
I saw a cardboard printer paper box under the desk so I pulled it out to get some paper out of it.
I opened the top and the box was full of boxes of 9mm, .38 and a few bricks of .22.
I don’t remember filling it up or putting it under the desk but it was a nice surprise.

I rearranged my gun room a few weeks back and decided to inventory my ammo. After restackiing just over 3,000 .410 shells, most all in boxes, and about 4,000 28 ga shells just in plastic bags, not counting any boxes full, I decided I really didn’t want to know that bad. That’s not including the 20, 16, and 12 ga shells, got a few of them too. Then I found another stash of 22 rimfire and decided I ought to count them too, after 6,000 I said to heck with it. God only knows what else I’ve got other than 60,000 primers and at least 75 different numbers of powder lots of 4 and 8 pounders. 6-1//2 8# jugs of AA-2200. I could have most anything stashed away somewhere yet. Hulls, wads, brass, bullet moulds! Lived here 37 years sooooo..... Might even find a gun or two!

No smoking, all electric heat and cooking, grill is outside, almost all powder is in a heavy wooden storage cabinet, waiting for the COVID thing to reach a more comfortable level so my Insurance guy can come over and learn how to load shells. The powder isn’t any worse than all the stain, thinner, and varnish I have on the shelves in the basement.

Remodeling my house, cleaned out a closet that was being eliminated and pulled out a Albanian SKS that I did not remember buying. Cleaning out the basement found about 3,000 asst. primers and a 50 cal can packed with .22 lr. been there since I moved here 38 years ago. The primers work just fine.
