So may of you have been so helpful getting me set up for reloading just because you could. I deprimed my first 20 casings on my hand press yesterday and I couldn’t get the smile off my face! I look forward to getting them primed and using the knowledge and tools provided here to get them loaded up!

Times are tough for everyone and I just want y’all to know, you’ve helped make them a little easier for me and I just wanted to say thank you!

It’s meant a lot too considering that sometimes it can feel hard to find a sense of community in firearms groups with such diverse ideas and interests and this is a reminder to me not to lose sight of the fact that we’re all people brought together out of a common passion/interest.

Damn it’s dusty in here...
 
I would also like to give a huge thank you to the members that are diligently posting when supplies are available. I have actually been able to score all the powders that I have been searching for for the last several weeks from members posting when items are available.

Since the thread for posting component availability information is not a discussion thread, I wanted to take the opportunity here to tell you how much that is appreciated.

Reading the OP took me back to Summer'68 on the outer yard (the field outside of the fence) in front of Grandpop's farmhouse over there (I turn in my chair and point out the window to where the old 18th century farmhouse still stands on the other side of the valley several hundred yards away) when I actually squeezed off my first-ever personally-reloaded cartridge (7.92x57). :what::D

Dad had fired the first one, but that second one was still a life-changing experience for me ... as well a being a HOOT! :)
 
I am and have been on this and other sites for a long time... this and one other (Sigtalk) stand out as having the least critical and bullying users and the most helpful input.

Other sites who have users who give replies like "Google is your friend", "search the archives", "You're a member for... X years and have so few postings" or worse still "REALLY?" with mods who support such stuff gain no new members.

My thanks also.

I have the Nespresso in my office. People ask why I need an espresso machine next to my desk. I just look at them funny and ask, "What does 'need' have to do with anything?" :D:cool:

I usually track those mean people down and find were they live. And let loose my Black Death infested rats on their house!

I've learned a lot too, and found out how much I really don't know. Most everyone I've interacted with are genuinely trying to help, even if their opinions on the best way differ.

But dear Lord, don't....I repeat DON'T under any circumstances, ask a question about a mini 14. Thought the hostility during election season was bad? Noooooo....that's nothing.

Mini 14 is what?
 
I’ve been active on many platform/caliber specific forums for years. Most have reloading sections with good advice on loads. But for advice on HOW to reload and useful experience with bench gear this place outshines them all.

I shudder to think of the consequences of all my mistaken understanding of the reloading process before I joined. Big thanks to a lot of long time members.
