Where are all the guns

In the last year, I have only stepped into a gun shop once. I felt like one driving through an area after tornado to see the damage.
But I continually get email flyers from several internet sites. The guns usually are 380 Auto, 9mm, 12 ga., or 223/556. With a sprinkle of 22 in LR and magnum, 38 Spl.
Rarely do I see 45 Auto, 40 S&W.

But it's good to see the manufacturers are pumping out what they can.

I wonder how many striker fired polymer 9mm's the American public can purchase before we hit saturation. Not sure if a polymer 9mm even has a measurable life span but if it does it'll be well over a century. Especially since most aren't shot much if at all and stored in a climate controlled environment.

Same with AR's. Since the capacity exists to arm multiples armies, it seems eventually we will have so many in circulation that that the supply hits over saturation.

To prolong ma$$ anxiety--these types of headlines are required.

They certainly seem to be driven by commercial objectives, and both sources easily could have helped promote (along with many others) "the sky is falling!" hysteria of a year ago.

ApacheCoTodd:
May I add to your garbage list? You must have tried "Winchester Forged" :scrutiny:. This is the first ammo I've ever tried which caused the first issues in my rock-solid CZ PCR, a Sig P6 etc.

This "Forged" is so weird, underpowered etc that the regular Win. 'White Box' is premium in comparison, as is Russian ' brands' Tula and Wolf. And Russian cases are coated to help extraction go quite well.

Go figure. WWB is accurate in all my guns.
I've never had a problem with it.
Who has all the guns?
Uncle Joe!
:what:
Same. I use WWB on handguns I dont reload for. Never gave me issues. Could be due to the guns I fire them from. Not sure.

Now Winchester rifle primers I'll pass on every time.

The Winchester Nato stuff is pretty good stuff, shot a pallet of it probably between 5.56 and 9mm. Q3131 comes in white boxes but it's not still considered "WWB" right? You'd think they would choose a different color box for their M193 spec ammo.

Exactly. I'm so sick of seeing these headlines. They constantly show up in my feed, "Wisconsin store owner ready to close the doors due to gun shortage" "ammo availability plummets and people line up around the block of (insert name here) sporting goods store", etc, blah blah blah.

Ammo and guns aren't as available or cheap as it once was but it's not as scarce or expensive as it was last year. It will slowly stabilize. At least from where I am, you can find something. Might not be exactly what you're looking for for exactly what you want to pay but it's not headline worthy from my view. Maybe I'm wrong, idk. The headlines are just getting old.

One thing I did notice though, is Mossberg Shotguns are hard to find right now.

DustyGmt: Your comments reminded me to clarify mine. And they weren't intended to be sweeping, all-encompassing.

Now on Gunbroker, there are 144 pages of ARs (many are .223 - not .22LR) and uppers or lowers.
There are now --- over 20 pages of "AK-47", 19 pages with many M-1 Garands, 11 pages of FALs, 25 pages of SKS , .28 pages of Mini 14, 9 pages of Mini 30.......oh, we have other gun auction websites - plus gun stores and Armslist? o_O

If we include what might be in gun shops in TN (alone), then ----

--- How would these Thousands (or so) on Gunbroker plus those , only in my single state , sell at current prices - if at all - unless very many people continue being told,
or reading "experts' " claims that " He's gonna soon make these Ilegal ! :what:"
... even though he and his weak coalition in Congress...are Unable to pass UBC?:)

Yeah, I did toss some of those in as well...
That's the trouble with all the white propaganda!
One must be diverse and identify the correct colors!
:rofl::evil:
