Random thought on possible magazine ban.

ATF don’t make laws
Yup U R right however, I never said they did (?).

The BATFE is ''authorized'' by law to make the finer details of what is this, what is that. The legislature has ceded a LOT of authority to the respective and supposedly subordinate branch of government to make decisions. If there is a violation & a charge to the offender I would NOT advise as a defense ''your Honor Sir, this isn't a law'' as a rational defense.YMMV

Nationwide AWB with stupid & arbitrary 10 rd mag limit and no grandfathering; I aint carrying a Glock 19/23 with a 10 round mag in it. Principle.
Glock 30SF, Glock 29SF, 1911, a handgun originally designed for 10 round or less mag.

SC runs the show on 2A! ATF don’t want none

I have to respectively disagree here.
Magazines are complicated engineering projects unto themselves
This.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Comment period is open. If you care, comment appropriately with yer' concerns.
Trying to find a "workaround" for this is what got the arm brace crap stirred up. If it's regulations on magazines that haven't appeared yet, then buy more of what you think you'll need. As prices rise, you'll be invested in a profit maker/trade item.
If not, you'll have plenty magazines!
Like ammo, there's never too many!
;)

A true and applicable statement!

Your post makes me think of my experiences with ProMag.
Promag and others. I have a High Standard Sport King, with 1 original mag, and I (impulsively) bought a couple pricey aftermarket ones. Not promag, either.
They won't run reliably, and while trying to tweak the feed lips, one flew to pieces in the gun.

Note, also, the adventures of owning a pre B CZ 75. I have a pair, with a couple OEM mags. I did pick up some extended SP 01 mags, that do fit and run. Modern flush-fit mags won't fit, also it seems the followers and springs can be used to revive the older mags.
In looking into this, I discovered the more popular "fix" was to file the old gun's magwell a bit, to expand it. Attempting to squeeze, compress, sand/file or otherwise alter the new mags, not even under consideration.
*so a knowledgeable user-base would rather modify a gun worth several hundred dollars, instead of trying to tweak a Mecgar mag that might cost $20. Tells you right there- in a lot of ways, guns are built around mags, instead of the other way around.

Will the pistol caliber carbines cater to the sub compact pistols?

Most PCC's accept the compact version of whatever full-size magazine they're designed for, and will certainly accept the 10 rnd. neutered full-size magazine. There's nothing to "cater" to"...just buy the Compact magazines. My Ruger PCC will take both Security 9 Compact and Glock 26 magazines.

Look how magazine bans are worded in states that have them. Typically the only exception is rimfire ammunition. So your PCC carbine that uses a banned handgun magazine above the limit will probably be banned too.

The details of Hillary's proposed "ban" she would impose (if elected) included
banning "high cap" mags for all but law enforcement, putting serial numbers
on all new magazines, and "grandfathering" all of the high cap mags already
in the hands of citizens.

I have 300 Magpul 30 round AR mags (I bought for $8.50 each) which would
probably be worth $40 each, if Biden started talking about a similar ban, so
part of me hopes he starts something, though I would prefer he doesn't, as I
would rather our "rights" get better, not worse.

I agree. Look at all the Korean knockoff magazines that look to be made in much the same fashion as OEM mags are made. But they are horribly unreliable pieces of junk. Same with pro mag magazines in my experience. Obviously there are differences between them that we can observe visually and by feel, but I would be very wary of any 3-D printed Glock mags.

The only non oem Glock mag I would trust is Magpul. A pro mag, not at all. A 3D printed magazine, probably would accept a case of them if they were free.....

Very unlikely.- without another unthinkable school event.

@ Read about the actual, present political factors.
Needless worrying is stimulated by the comments of hundreds of people who need to $ell You their gun accessorie$........ Do they Not
— need to sell “Before the music stops”.?.;)
