Happy 6/5 Day!

I would definitely have one if I didn't quit calibers before the Creedmoor thing started taking hold. Had the Creedmoor craze hit a lil bit earlier, I'd have one. I probably would have opted for 6.5 over 7mm08 if the option was there. No regrets, the 7-08 is more than fine.

I was actually looking for a short .308 bolt gun and I let the guy talk me into 7-08. I could have just as easily been talked into 6.5 creed. But, it probably saved me money in the long run because if I bought a bolt gun in 6.5 I would have had to have an AR in 6.5 creed.

On a .264 note...I took the .264WM out for the first time today. Shot about moa with the load ladder and was hitting 3200 with 140VLDs and RL-33. I might standardize at about 3175 as there's a flat spot between 73-74gr of rl-33 and it shot well.

That speaks to your intelligence and breeding

Good luck with that one! :D

I used the word "prefer" intentionally since it's just a choice for which no explanation is required.

6.5 Carcano, 6.5 Jap, and my favorite, 6.5x55 Swede. That rifle does a great job of making a better shooter than I really am. In the hands of a really good marksman with younger eyes, I would love to see what the old girl could do.
