The IWI Masada comes in a nice box, but no case. Included are 3 back straps, 2 17 round magazines and the obligatory chamber flag and lock. I laughed when I saw IWI also included a zipper pull.
The finish is outstanding. I’d rate the fit and finish 9.9 out of 10. The only thing I can say is the white sight dots seem a little big. But of course that’s a personal preference.
The magazine springs are very stout and the feed lips are slightly longer than most of my other 9’s. This makes it a little more difficult to load, but enhances reliability.
The best part: The trigger is excellent. There is no perceptible break; squeeze and fire. Very little take up, zero over travel, and a reasonable reset. The trigger safety is well done.
I had an off day in regards to accuracy, the best I could manage was to hit a 2” bullseye at 15 yards but my SIL put several rounds through the same ragged hole, so the gun is more accurate than I can shoot. At least today.
Overall, I think the IWI Masada is the best $400 I’ve spent on a handgun. The incredible trigger and excellent finish alone should make it a $600 gun IMO.

Cool! I’m also glad to hear that your experience was a good one from your initial impressions to putting shots down range. There are so many excellent choices for 9mm pistols to choose from, today’s newer models have to be outstanding or they’ll fade right away into obscurity.

Congrats on a great buy .

Stay safe.

@sparkyv - No problems. Once the takedown pin is removed it lifts right out. Have to be careful reinstalling it because there’s a spring that has to go into a seat (vertically). You have to use a punch or similar to guide the spring. It’s not difficult but I see how you could mangle the spring if you’re not careful.

I've been looking at this pistol for a few weeks now... but I recall reading someone's account (don't recall where) that it was on the wider/chunkier side.
How would you stack this pistol up, in terms of girth, to other polymer pistols such as S&W M&P or a similar sized Glock?

Understood. Much like the FCU on the P320.

Compared to other striker guns in 9mm, the Masada definitely feels heavier, although it’s not. It’s only slightly heavier and thinner than a Glock 17/5. Even my SR9 ‘feels’ lighter and it’s 100 grams heavier. Appearance wise it’s ‘blocky’ but that can be a plus or minus depending on your tastes. I like it, it’s different. Personally I think the slide release is way oversized but I suppose IWI had a reason to make it gigantic.
Working the slide and shooting you can feel the quality. It’s a well-made, smooth operating firearm.
I haven’t changed the back straps, it comes with 3 to address different preferences and trigger reaches.

Glock 17 Gen 5
Weight: 630g
Width: 1.34”

Ruger SR9
Weight: 751g
Width: 1.27

IWI Masada:
Weight: 650g
Width: 1.30”

There were some these listed on gunbroker last night at $379 buy now. I had to use restraint or I'd own two of them.
