What's the chances? If made "affordable" (say $1,100.00, or so) I'd buy one in a second. I've always wanted an excuse to buy a Model 97 but I already have all the pistols chambered in .45 ACP than I want, let alone "need". What with the renewed interest in the 10mm cartridge, it might be a good gambit for CZ. Just my thoughts.

The Witness Hunter is close, but $1400.

A 97 in 10MM around a grand would be awesome.

I'd bite. I'm a big fan of the 10mm and CZs. It'd be preferable if it would have higher capacity, however.

Yikes! "The cost of this pistol is in nosebleed territory: Roughly $2.5-3k"

There are Several Witness models in 10mm, I've got a compact I picked up used w/ a .40 barrel included and it's a lot of fun.

The CZ custom 97 only offers 10+1 which is pretty lousy. Even the Witness Compact holds more - 12 round mags and 14+1 full size. Some of the poly guns are even better.

I'm not familiar with the 97B other than I know it exists.
Is it going to be able to handle 10mm?

Of course it will. I don't think a custom shop like CZC would offer it if they hadn't seriously tested a prototype, and if not and there are big failures, then they will need to do something about it. The 97B is a very robust, all steel gun.

CZC specializes in hard use competition guns. Building and modifying guns that can take a beating is what they do.
