Just wish they did not charge tax & shipping lol

Need to find more sites that don't charge tax.

I understand 44 of 50 states must collect buyers state tax. With California sales taxes running as high as 10%, outrageous shipping costs and all the other restrictions on ammo i cannot believe organized crime will stay out of the ammo business. Just buying in other states like tax free Oregon there's too much profit to be made. Besides you might think unemployed drug dealers need something to do. "Psst hey buddy!! Wanna buy some ammo?"

Then we have sites like Castle Arms & True Shot trying to charge $40 or so for shipping of a modest $200ish ammo order. GFY!

Local Bass Pro had quite a bit of ammo today. I even got some 38 special which has been unobtainium around here. Bulk packs .22, 9mm, 40, .223/5.56, .308, 350 legend (WTH does that fit cuz everyplace has ammo for it) etc. Not much shotgun ammo tho. Overall in this area prices are still high but decreasing slightly, and availability is starting to get better...

I stopped in Rural King today. They had a lot of Norma 22 lr 50 round boxes, 223 in 150 and 200 round bulk packs and 308 ball. I did not see anything in a hunting caliber.

Cabelas and Sportsman’s Warehouse has put the ammo back on the shelves instead of behind the counter. Academy has primers the other day.

$7.99 a box for Norma Tac-.22 is not all that high today. I just checked a receipt from the past. In 2014, I was paying $5.24 a box for it before shipping.

I stopped in a Fin, Feather, Fur store yesterday. I was in search of 10mm Auto ammo, or like brass for reloading. Neither was to be had.
They did have a healthy supply of 9mm and 223/556. Also they had some 45 Auto, 380, 38 Spl, and a bit of 40 S&W.

I didn't go down the rim fire aisle, so not sure what all they had there.

Prices were probably average for today's market.

I think for "A" majority of people its going to be more advantageous to seek out ammo online if you are able. Thats what I've been doing.

My local WM's don't have crap and what little there is is overpriced and all the stores have a one box per day limit. LGS's are all super overpriced.

You can find some relatively good deals (given the circumstances) if you're willing to put in the effort searching daily online.

I won't have that opportunity much longer so I've been going at it like a mad man and so far am fairly pleased with the fruits of the labor.
