Some Purdeys, Kreighoffs, Fabbri, Perazzi, Bertuzzi, F. Illi Piotti, Peter Hofer, and some others.what kinda shotgun costs 100k?? just curious never heard of anything that expensive
I have a guy I have shot with who has the Apollo 13 moon landing engraved on three sides of his K-80; that engraving (and the killer wood), put that gun over 100K to 110K and yes, he shoots it every weekend.
My mistake, Apollo 11................what I get for watching the movie the other night with wine! The Apollo 13 landing?
Those look really nice, but I think I'm going to stick to my $300 shotguns for now...
Your moderately priced $8K would defiantly be my high-end. I can not ascertain the value of the shotguns I witnessed, but they appeared to be more than I would be willing to spend.I am NOT trying to sound condescending or anything, so please define what YOU mean by high$$$ guns; because for ME, moderately expensive target shotguns START about $8K and the high-end guns still in Earth's orbit go for $20-65K.................that said I have seen, handled and even shot, a few guns that go north of $100K.....................
And that is fine. There isn't a target out there that a 870 Wingmaster can't break IF the Indian does his part.....Your moderately priced $8K would defiantly be my high-end. I can not ascertain the value of the shotguns I witnessed, but they appeared to be more than I would be willing to spend.
One can go to Cole's in Naples, FL, or a few others here to get fittedI have only met one person who went to Perazzi in Italy for a custom fitting. He certainly speaks highly experience. He could afford it with no sacrifices.
One can go to Racine (Kolar) or Yakima (Ljutic) and get a custom fitting at the factory also. Yakima is on my bucket list.I have only met one person who went to Perazzi in Italy for a custom fitting. He certainly speaks highly experience. He could afford it with no sacrifices.
Remington 870...I'd look for an older Wingmaster...probably closer to the $500 mark, but a better gun than current production models

That is a lot of shooting and a good example of why one needs a “good” gun…….20000 shells a year….or more.shoot sporting clays so for registered tournaments, I spend $75/100; typically with 2 100 bird events per day. That is $150.plus a flat of shells, another $75, plus ~$50 in gas towing my rigged up golf cart 150 miles each way - at least they feed me sausage for breakfast and a decent lunch!. before I moved, I did this every weekend, PLUS weekly fun practice 2-3 times per week. That practice 5-stand was $7/25 plus my cheap $4/box reloads per round - and I would shoot 4-6 rounds each times - i.e., a LOT of shells and targets over the years........
BUT, I don't go to bars, own a boat or extra sports car, so it's my fun.
