Hogue grips on a Sig P220 - question

You have a choice between black or green Hogue overmolded grips with the finger grooves, and the Hogue overmolded grips without the finger grooves in black. I’m pretty sure these will fit a P220, but you can contact Hogue CS if you still have questions on this.

I have the Hogue overmolded grips with the finger grooves on my Sig P226 in .40S&W. With my big hands, I like this setup a lot. But if you buy these grips, make sure that you also get the allen head grip screws that Hogue sells to go along with these grips. These grips are thicker than stock and it’s not worth the possibility of stripping the threaded grip inserts in the frame with the OEM screws, which the previous owner did with my gun.

Only fit problems I ever had with the original Hogues were around the hammer release lever. And that just wanted a bit of skiving the back of the grip panel to get it to lay closer to the frame. Fit otherwise was pretty good.
Will have been an early generation SIG 220

The SIG 220 can be found with either heel release or the button release behind the trigger guard. The mainspring will either have a flat sheet metal base or a cast aluminum housing...the spring struts for each are shaped differently and will affect the grip which will fit them

The SAO's have a different grip also, has a cut out for a thumb safety.
