I have two 22/45 Lites and two Habu framed Target models, one a blued 10" and the other a stainless threaded 5.5". My favorite is the polymer 22/45 with a Volquartsen 6" LLV4 and accurizing kit. Light, accurate, and smooth as glass. Tandemkross does make an aluminum frame for the 22/25 but at this time you have to swap parts from a donor 22/45.

now it’s a bit under 2 lbs with zero over travel and a reset that you can just feel as you’re rapidly firing at plates or targets.

My Volquartsen frame also has that light pull .If I have a round in the pipe, the thumb safety is on safe until its pointed at the target. Sometimes I think I would prefer pull a weight half way between the Ruger and Volquartsen.

It does take some getting used to, that’s for sure.

I just pulled the Mk II from the safe, it averages 2 lb 11oz for the trigger pull weight. It’s not as crisp as the Mk IV Volquartsen trigger but it’s still pretty nice.

Stay safe.

My advice would be to avoid the polymer frame. I've only been able to view the Mark iv from pictures, but if its similar to the Mark III polymer 22/45 you won't be happy.

I bought the polymer Mark III 22/45 some time ago. The LGS only had 2 Mark III models and the polymer frame was significantly cheaper than the standard Mark III. Once I shot it a few times I realized the grip width was very narrow, akin to shooting a 1911 with the grips removed. That led to a DIY project, with YouTube assist, to retrofit to 1911 grips. It turned out pretty well but knowing what I know now I wish I had just ponied up a couple more C notes for a standard frame.

Best picture that I have. Obviously the one at the top.

I sold a MKii 22/45 that I preferred over my current MKiv. The MKiv is cramped in my hands, where the 22/45 fit perfect. The new push button takedown is awesome!

I currently have a Mk III Hunter (my third) and a Volquartsen Scorpion Mk III grip style. I prefer the MkIII grip style to the 22/45 grip.

The Mk III Hunter has the VQ upgrades and the trigger feels exactly the same as the Scorpion, just a little over 2 lbs and crisp.

I would like to get a Mk IV Hunter at some point.

The frame conundrum several years ago is what led me to a Buckmark instead of a Ruger, and I have no regrets. Every time I handled the 22/45 it felt like a soulless toy, even more recently when I've looked at the Lite models which my daughter was interested in I'm just not a fan of the way they feel. I've since acquired a MK1, and while I can shoot it as well as the Buckmark with concentrated aiming the grip angle still isn't my favorite but I do like the quality feel of the steel frame. I think the Buckmark's aluminum frame is the perfect compromise on weight plus it has the grip angle that all pistols should have.
