did you chono it? would love to knowBeen working up some 9mm loads trying to use up some 70's vintage Red Dot. This was 5.1 gr behind 124gr FMJ RN in my Stoeger.
I only loaded a handful, but I think I'll tear those down and back it down to 4.8gr.

I started at 4.5 and worked up 1/10 at a time from there. 4.9 gr showed no problems, 5.0gr I noticed a very slight flattening of the fire pin hole. 5.1 is definitely the end of the test.Curious. Where were you before 5.1?
Nope, didn't chrono it, but I'd venture 1250 or so. I might be brave enough to pop one more and chronograph if I ever get off work with some daylight left.did you chono it? would love to know
I have G3c and haven't seen that yet. I might try one of these in it just to see.I don't want my reloads looking like this factory ammo. View attachment 1054878 View attachment 1054879
I bet 100 (10mm brass) your closer or above 1300Nope, didn't chrono it, but I'd venture 1250 or so. I might be brave enough to pop one more and chronograph if I ever get off work with some daylight left.
I am sure your correct. Looking at the primer, is a good clue.over sized hole
I don't have any 10mm brass. But I guess if I won the bet I'd have a reason to buy a 10mm pistolI bet 100 (10mm brass) your closer or above 1300

I mean… having brass and nothing to shoot it out of… should be punishable by at lease 10 yearsI don't have any 10mm brass. But I guess if I won the bet I'd have a reason to buy a 10mm pistol
and beside, your already at 9mm.. 1 more mill and you don’t have to worry about pressure signs and little cases for your large handsI don't have any 10mm brass. But I guess if I won the bet I'd have a reason to buy a 10mm pistol

124 at 1350 is major power factor and lot of guns can handle it just find. They just load a little longer and stuff.I don't know what your seating depth is.....I loaded at least 2000 9mm with 4 grains of Red Dot under a 124 plated flat point.. I think those were seated to 1.045 OAL - I'd have to check my notes to verify but I do remember velocity was about 1050. 6.1 seems to be too much of a good thing .

Community service, sort out steel and 22LR spent shells from the Brass BinNuts, I've got 40cal brass and never owned one. 10 years is a long time, ... wait what do we have to do for 10 years?
You can't know what the velocity is by guessing. You can't go by what is printed in the load data either. For all you know your velocity is lower or much higher than you think.Nope, didn't chrono it, but I'd venture 1250 or so.
