My best shooter and one i am most comfortable with is my CZ75b.
It just fits my grip and has a very natural point of aim.
My compact is just as good just smaller but the balance is better with my full size
What pistol I shoot best, and what pistol I enjoy shooting the most, aren't quite the same thing. We'd also have to establish what "best" means.
For best accuracy, probably my Ruger SBH Bisley conversion .44 Mag with a 300gr WFN load using 2400 running around 1100fps. It seems to be a particularly accurate load for me, though that's still not saying too much.
But if "best" means consistent hits on target at a reasonable speed, it's probably a G22 w/.357 Sig match grade barrel (after some recent changes to the trigger).
As far as favorite goes right now, it the relatively new G20. I'm really enjoying running drills with it using some mid range reloads.
The auto-loading pistol I shoot the best is going to be any of my full-sized Les Baer 1911 pistols. The only thing likely to change this would be if I were to acquire something like a high-quality .22 target pistol.
Volquartsen Black Mamba.
C-More Red Dot, VQ Accurizing Kit, Herritt Stocks.
This gun shoots the tights groups I've ever fired. It's set up for Steel Challenge Matches and has a 1.7 ounce trigger.
With me it is probably going to be a tie between four of my pistols with the first place lead going to my 2011 (gen1) M&P 9 Pro Series. Close behind it is my gen5 and gen4 Glock 19, and my gen3 Glock 23.
Before my cataract surgery a few years ago (who gets cataracts before they’re 50?) it was this USP Expert in 9mm…it was effortlessly accurate, but its all-black sights were nearly impossible for me to see post-surgery.
Depends on the type of shooting. For accuracy using the sights, by far and away, my CZ 52 is the most accurate. I've hit cotton mouths in the head a few times at 30 and 50yds.
For best groups just point shooting or retention shooting, its a close race between my XD40 and my M9A3. My 22/45 lite is right there also, but I assumed we are talking about SD guns.
When I had a Walter PPS M2 (9mm) I felt I shot it better than any pistol I have owned since my first pistol in 1970. Felt so good in the hand, had a very good trigger, and I could shoot 3 inch groups at 25 feet. But I came to want more capacity so I replaced it. I own a gun for SD only, so I rarely have more than one. After doing a lot if range testing of other guns I decided on the Ruger Security 9 Compact because it accommodated 15 round magazines. Now, one year later I can shoot 2 inch groups ar 25 feet. I have. Never shot better than with this gun. I’ll probably die with it next to my bed.
Toss up between a Sig 1911 compact and a Browning Hi Power 9mm. Both are excellent carry guns...the Sig a bit better with its shorter bbl., .45 cartridge, and night sights. Rod
