Nice rifle you got there. The wood looks great on it. I notice it doesn't have the side gate. I have on in 45LC w/o a side gate. That never has been a concern for me. Go out and enjoy it.

Nice rifle. I recently purchased a Big Boy X in45 Colt. Very handy. I am going to use it both as home defense carbine as well as a thick woods hunting rifle. Inregards to the side gate, I can say that I am glad the X model has it. Loading through the tube you are limited to COAL of 1.6" but with the side gate you can load 1.65's which gets you up into at least the 300gr bullet weights if you are so inclined to use heavier loads.

I am anxious to see how accurate it is with the scope.

Not scoped, but I sure am partial to my Henrys - .22LR, .38spl/357mag and .45 Colt....

My Big Boy Steel in .357 My eyes will hardly allow me to shoot it these days. I just cant bring myself to put a scope on it.
