I had ordered a marlin 1894 for cowboy shootin, but my gunshop had the darnedest time trying to locate one for me. After about 2 months of waitin, I read a copy of GUN TESTS about the Henry Big Boy rifle. They gave it a BUY IT rating and could not say enough good about it. So I called my gunshop and changed my order to the Henry Big Boy.

This proved to be a great decision. :D

The Henry Big Boy arrived in a week, and out of the box its quality was visible. The fit and finish was great and the wood was purty. The action of the Henry was smooth and the trigger pull was crisp with almost no travel. No need to have a smith work this action.

I took the Henry to the range last night. I was shootin some reloads I made for my cowboy revolvers usin Trail Boss powder and 250gr bullets. Loadin this rife was easy as pie. If your like me, the side loadin guns seem to always pinch my finger, so henry's front loadin was a dream. The rifle worked flawlessly on the range, and accuracy was awsome.:D From a bench rest, this rifle put all bullets through the same hole.:D The rear site had to be raised about 2 clicks to hit on the bullseye, but no other adjustment had to be made. Shootin from a standin position was just as enjoyable. The weight of the rifle makes the 45lc feel like a 22lr.

I cannot say enough about how great a rifle this is.:D If your lookin for a cowboy gun, you should consider the Henry.

Congrats. :) I have been looking int adding a Big Boy to my collection. Thanks for the review.

I've always enjoyed the action on my Henry .22 and I've been thinking about getting something a little heftier :) Thanks for the review, I might just start looking into them a bit more

Henry Repeating Arms...... Made in USA

I have owned mine for about 6 months. Been runnin' Holy Black and 250gr bullets. Shoots almost dead flat out to 100 yards.

My selling point was the price. Got mine for 610 + tax.
It's SASS legal, and 400 bucks cheaper than an Italian Clone.

Yeah, the Henry Big Boy is awesome! There is one at my fav gunshop used very little for $700.00, same caliber, I wonder if I shouldnt just go buy it.

Henry

You probably won't need it, but Henry has the best customer service in the industry.

i just bought mine last week and i agree.

$680
