Did anyone change what they carry today?

For years I carried an AMT Backup 380 in a wallet holster. Over the last couple years crime has gone out of sight locally. I recently upgraded to an AMT Backup DAO 45ACP. I just slip it in my hip pocket and go.
I would love to see that. I have never seen the .45 AMT Backup in person. If you got a good one the .380 was the gun to have in the day.

Yes. It is a rainy day, thus far. I do not want a hammer spur to poke a hole through my rain jacket, so, it is a good day for spur-less SP101 and GP100 revolving pistols.

I’ve been watching this thread for these few weeks and can’t figure out what would have changed about my risk profile as an American citizen living in the Midwest, just because of the Russian invasion…? I carry with intent to satisfy a reasonable risk profile corresponding to the activities and environments relevant for me and my family. Most days, I’m content with a loaded 380 pocket pistol. Every night I go to bed with 17+17 reload in a 9mm integrally suppressed pistol. When I travel downtown, occasionally I increase my carry to a 15+15 reload G19, or a 10+12 reload Sig P224 40mm… or at LEAST take a reload for my 380…

But the Russian invasion didn’t change anything about my risk profile, so I didn’t change anything about my mitigation plan.

Still a dan wesson razorback with 4 mags and a full box of ammo in my backpack. Nothings changed.

No, only thing that changes that is a BOLO, which is rare, or break-ins on the rise, which usually come with nicer weather. And then nothing on me changes, except I may also carry a long gun while outside on the property.

I switch between a 442 and Kahr P9 same manual of operations. I carry the P9 in the city. 442 at home or both. Always keep one or the other at hand even in my own home. Just cause I want to keep it habitual. Haven’t been worried about a break in since I moved to the suburbs. But the butt of a new found gun is never easy to reach.

Pretty much always carry my G26 to work, church, and town.

I will carry a 1911 in shoulder holster if I’m riding four wheelers, hunting, fishing or knocking about the woods.

Carry reloads regardless of which.
