...I’m looking for a few.

6” in length at the most, just something to quiet a 9mm or .45 ACP “a bit.”

Trying to get past the “unwieldy” part.

My familiarity with these things dates back to AAC’s Ti - Rants, and all these newer brands and designs are totally unfamiliar to me.

Any recommendations?

I have a Canine from @MachIVshooter and it definitely serves a purpose. It is only good for a few magazines before needing more grease though (it's not intended for high volume with max suppression). The nice thing is that you can easily unscrew the endcap by hand. 20201006_140851.jpg

I got a new 45 osprey, the shorter 45 osprey silencer at the height of the plandemic for $630. Had to buy my own thead adaptor.
I wouldn't recommend it for 9mm, it would be rather disappointing.

I also have a Ti-Rant and love that too but it is a bit longer of course. Mine mostly stays in the long configuration so I don't misplace the extra parts. MachIV has a couple different kinds of 9mm cans and they are top-notch IMO.

That one’s closer to what I’m looking for.

If you only shoot jacketed bullets, we do the tubeless, all 17-4 stainless Phoenix TL in 5.5" length, but it would be 6" with a booster added for use on recoil operated pistols. Some, like the Beretta 92, will tolerate it with a direct thread mount, but most pistols need a booster with cans weighing more than about 4 ounces.

The TL was primarily designed to be a carbine suppressor, but it takes our Alpha booster, as well as any other Alpha pattern adapter.

I plan to get some TLs built in .45 cal, but only have 9mm in stock. 9mm suppressor demand is orders of magnitude higher than .45 cal right now.

I don't have any of the Canines mentioned above built at the moment, rifle and rimfire cans are more popular, so that's what I focus on keeping in stock.

How long are the short versions, and what happened with the 9mm?

My son is the curator of a Canine also and is most used on the Glock 19 Gen 5 with a light for night time poking around the ranch . The Canine is the most remarkable suppressor for 9mm I ever saw. It is under 4 oz. and I think 3.5" with a coupling being it does NOT require a Neilson booster piston device= the super light weight. Properly lubed with lithium grease or wiring pulling gel oblative it is every bit as quiet as large suppressors ! Another little secret is without a wipe it still is pretty quiet , still hearing safe with subsonics !
