I just received a 91/30 with hex receiver, Also have a round receiver dated 1936 too. There was some overlap in production .

Has anyone seen a later dated Hex receiver?.

Thanks, Jim

1936 is likely the last year of Hex production you will ever see in the wild. I did see a picture from a trusted source of one dated 1937. We were guessing it was either a "look what I found behind the lathe!" or an older receiver that was re-stamped type of scenario.

As said above, the underside of the tang will have a date.
The Soviets rebuilt alot of M-91's into 91/30's. Older recivers were recycled.
The reciver could have been used for a rebuild or was new when barreled and stocked, many Dragoon's were also made into 91/30's.

The facets matter not, tell us how well it shoots!
