How are they defining "assault weapon" this time? Is it a "one-feature" definition like the one we have in New York?

EDIT TO ADD: Did the research and answered my own question. Yup, a "one-feature" rule. SA with detachable magazine and one feature. Unlike NY, they don't include flash hiders, though, nor do they specifically ban thumbhole stocks, although that may crop up in the interpretation.

I understand what you are saying, but no one wants to become an instant felon for doing nothing wrong. More than anything, I just want the government to leave me alone.
There has to become a point where people say no more back pedaling.
There is a lot of ground that needs regained and all the Dems and half the Republicans don't want it to happen.
Growing up in the 90s I didn't know I was missing out on cool guns. It's like giving a spoiled kid candy and trying to take it back.

Can't they use the nuclear option to override the filibuster?
Schumer could try to bring the nuclear option into play but I doubt it. Being an election year there are several D members of the senate that are up for reelection and were elected, for whatever reason, in purple states. Those house members might vote no but being the dems are the majority most will not want to be perceived as pro gun so they won't take the risk and will vote yes. The majority will toe the line so they will not be jeopardizing their future grift and Pelosi stock predictions for a bill that has a slim chance of passing. Schumer may get it to the floor so everyone has a chance to vote on the record but, my prediction, It dies a slow death.

“One has not only a legal, but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

“‘No legislative act,’ wrote Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 78, ‘contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.’

The court in Hubbard v. Lowe reinforced this truth: ‘That an unconstitutional statute is not a law at all is a proposition no longer open to discussion.’

I think all this crap apon our country is purposfull.

H.R.1808 has APPENDIX A a long list of makes and models that are exempt from the 2022 Assault Weapons Ban.
One category is bolt action and single shot rimfire rifles. Of my guns, NOT listed are:
_ Garcia Bronco .22s,l,lr "bicycle rifle"
_ Savage 63KM .22wmr
_ Savage 73 .22lr.
If these guns are not listed as exempt, are they contraband if the bill passes?

The presence of that whole list is perplexing to me. It's a law that bans certain types of semi-auto rifles. Shouldn't it exempt all bolt-action and single-shot rifles?
