They're pretty close, but you're far better off using the proper data from Alliant. It's available right on their web site.

I decided to keep the 300 MP for magum 44 loads for my carbine. Not worth taking the chance.

At one point I was almost ready to pop for a jug of 300 MP. I wanted to get away from H110 as I was having issues with poor ignition. The burn rate seemed about right for my needs and reports by those using it were good.
However, most of my use for this powder would be in 357 Max and I could find zero pressure tested load data. I kept putting off the purchase due to the lack of data and then I found some milsurp 680 available (comparable to AA 1680). The 680 did great and I was later able to stock up when I found some more that became available.
It is a shame that this is probably a really good powder, but it does not have anywhere near as much load data as it deserves.

Keep in mind that Alliant’s impressive load data for .357 Magnum is achieved with a 10” barrel with no barrel/cylinder gap. You won’t come anywhere close to their numbers unless you are shooting a 10” barrel T/C Contender. In my experience you might eke out another 50-75 fps over H-110/W-296 at maximum charge levels.
Any powder that 'ekes out' 50-75fps than win296 is pretty impressive to me. As to the load data 1620fps with 170grain, losing 150fps for a 6" revolver thats still a 800ftlbs load Im thinking, into 44 mag territory.

Emphasis on might gain 50 fps. And in a conventional revolver, I.e. my 6” GP-100, 158 gr JHP’s achieved around 1,300 fps on the chronograph with both W-296 and 300-MP. Alliant Power Pro 300-MP is a decent powder for .357 Magnum, but probably offers more in carbine length barrels than conventional revolvers. At least, that has been my experience. YMMV
my mileage is 1300fps is pretty moderate with 110, its capable of quite a bit more- in my experience. Lilgun, 4227 same thing. 300-MP looked interesting to me as its in the same class.

I was at the range yesterday using some loads of 357 mag. with 180 gr XTP. The load was about 16.5 gr of MP-300, mid-range of the load work up. It was shot in a Ruger 77/357. I didn't measure the speed.
But I found the cases looked very clean with no soot.
These are straight from the range with no cleaning.
The heavier loads will be tested at 100 yd.

300mp in my opinion is too fast for 7.62x39. I would not use that combination. CFE BLK is the best 7.62x39 powder on the market in my opinion.
That’s my issue with all of Aliant’s products. Their load data is horrible! Plus they will go for years between having some of their powders in stock.

I haven't reloaded for 7.62x39. But 300-MP seems to work so far with 300 Blk. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
